Wood You Look At That!

Wood You Look at That! is a collaborative window installation centered on material experimentation and spatial impact. The display features over 8,000 hand-tinted wooden skewers arranged in varying lengths and densities to create depth, movement, and a dynamic, sculptural texture. By transforming a simple material into an immersive environment, the installation explores scale, repetition, and visual tension.

At the center, a vibrant green handbag appears suspended within the radiating wooden forms, using contrast and directional composition to draw the viewer’s eye inward and amplify the product’s presence. To unify the concept, I personally applied wood faux-painting techniques to the floor, extending the illusion so the entire space feels constructed from the same material.

This project highlights my skills in window design, installation, material exploration, faux painting, spatial composition, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
